The Heath & Safety industry should take some pride in the recently published figures which show that the number of people killed at work has fallen to a record low. Health and Safety Executive figures have revealed that there were 180 deaths in the 12 months to March, down from 233 the previous year and the lowest since records began in 1974. Of course one death at work is too many and the industry is certainly not complacent, however it is a stark indication that building a strong ethos of health and safety within a business can save lives.

HSE Construction Auditor Location: Surrey
SALARY: £35-40K
This new role reporting to the Audit Programme Manager is to deliver construction audits and assessments across the UK and occasionally to an international audience. Key to this role will be to deliver audits to specified levels of quality, time and cost as well as monitoring industry trends to ensure delivery meets the companies’ and the clients needs. Candidates should have experience in the construction industry ideally but will need to be qualified to NEBOSH Diploma as a minimum and have a lead assessor qualification. Candidates should be customer focussed and be an excellent communicator of smart appearance with a desire to help see the company grow.

Principal Consultant - Safety, Environment and Compliance Location: London
SALARY: £50K+
The role is to become the Principal Consultant for a team of 22 consultants and to supervise and lead major projects with key clients. Ideally candidates will have previous experience of managing teams and a proven track record within a consultancy environment acting as head or principal consultant. It is essential for this role candidates are qualified to CMIOSH and preferably degree qualified.
