BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Our client is looking to recruit Structural & Civil Engineers for the following.
General structural or civil engineering
Structural design/assessment of buildings and process plant
Extreme load assessment of new and existing facilities
Seismic, blast and wind retrofit design
Facility structural risk surveys
We are looking to fill the following two positions:
Senior Engineer - with at least 8 to 10 years of experience.
Extreme load assessment - seismic, blast experience necessary
Technical leadership and guidance
Project management
Line management responsibilities
Familiarity with the nuclear and petrochemical industry would be an advantage.
Education:
Degree in: Civil or Structural Engineering.
CEng (ICE or IStructE) would be an advantage but is not mandatory. However, experience sufficient to satisfy typical CEng requirements will be expected.
Graduate/Project Engineer
Your role would be working as part of one of the engineering teams to perform:
Structural assessments of buildings and structures against seismic and blast load affects.
Design of structural upgrades and retrofits.
The work can be challenging, fast moving and varied, so we are looking for a candidate who is pro active and enthusiastic, who will grasp this opportunity with both hands.
Our client has a training agreement with the Institution of Civil Engineers to which the successful candidate would be eligible for.
Education:
A good degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Modules in Earthquake and/or Blast/Explosion engineering would be an advantage.
Successful candidates will join a team of engineers dealing with structural and process plant assessments against extreme hazards including blast, wind and seismic.
