BRIEF DESCRIPTION
 
Our clients Integrity Services Department provides a comprehensive and diverse range of technical services to support mainstream Energy-sector Operators in ensuring Asset Integrity for their operated facilities.

The service is provided to a number of leading Operators on a long term contract basis.

They currently require an experienced Senior Corrosion Engineer, with a demonstrable background in operationable service delivery to the Oil and Gas Industry, to work as part of a dedicated team in a client-facing role based in their Aberdeen office. Reporting directly to the Integrity Team Lead, your main objective will be to direct and control effectively and efficiently the work allocated to you.

Some of the areas of responsibility are as follows:

Ensure all work is covered by a work order or through the CTR system.
Assist in monitoring costs against budget, and warn Line Manager/ITL of potential overruns where appropriate.

Supervise Junior Engineers and Technical assistants when required.

Support the Senior Inspection Personnel in provision of specialist expertise, both to project teams and directly to clients in the following areas:
Materials Selection and Review of Design Basis/Materials Suitability.
Corrosion Risk Assessment (including commissioning of appropriate databases, where necessary).
Corrosion Management Systems/Strategies.
Risk based Inspection.
Failure Investigation.
Cathodic Protection.
Coatings.
Corrosion Awareness and Technical Skills Training.
Ad-hoc Consultancy/Troubleshooting (Process Investigation, Monitoring, Sampling, Mitigation, etc.).
Design, Implementation and Management of (on-line) Corrosion Monitoring Systems.
Corrosion KPI's
Identification and collation of relevant data from various sources, e.g. drawings, datasheets, manuals, inspection reports, etc.
Commissioning, interrogation and auditing of databases. Job Requirements Applicants for this position should have a relevant engineering or science degree. A post graduate qualification would be considered an advantage.

Versatile and flexible team player with good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Good attention to detail, able to write clear, concise and accurate reports and also interpret reports from 3rd parties.

Adaptable and well organised with a practical minded approach and the ability to work to tight deadlines
