Allen & York are currently searching for a Landscape Technical Director to join one of the leading global multidisciplinary consultancies. This position is based in Edinburgh and would suit an experienced, proactive and ambitious individual.
The main responsibilities of this position include; being the technical and line management lead for all landscape and visual elements; liaising with clients and internal teams; undertaking landscape and visual impact assessments; preparing fee proposals; business development and report writing.
You are expected to have your own network of potential clients that you can approach for opportunities and have a strong landscape consultancy background.
You must have demonstrable experience in developing and leading a successful team as well as having a proven track record in a project manager/director position, co-ordinating and managing the landscape elements of large projects.
The ability to provide due diligence and expert witness services is highly desirable.
A BSc qualification in a relevant discipline is essential and MSc qualification is desirable.
Good experience in landscape/environmental consultancy is essential as is experience in project management and EIA. Knowledge of the energy sector and previous experience on renewables projects is also key to this position as is finance, admin, landscape and visual technical skills
Chartered status is desirable as is understanding of relevant policies and legislation.
