Environment Team Leader

Allen & York are pleased to present a fantastic opportunity to work with this well reputed, global, multi-disciplinary consultancy. This position is for an Environment Team Leader to be based in South Africa.
The main purpose of this position is to provide leadership, management and delivery of environmental services for Energy projects.
Your main responsibilities will include leading the delivery and growth of Environment and Social services; developing and implementing business plans; financial responsibilities and project manage large environment and social projects and review and approve sub-division outputs
You will also be the project coordinator for the delivery of environmental services; undertake ad-hoc environmental advisory services; become a local environmental resource for all power projects; contribute to the production of proposals for the region; and liaise with representatives to support any BD activity

You will have relevant qualifications (good first degree and a second degree in relevant discipline) and also be a member of a relevant professional body.
You must have extensive relevant postgraduate work experience in environment or sustainability disciplines and have technical leadership, people management and business development skills
Experience of line-management of environmental teams and working knowledge of environmental consultancy is highly desirable as is technical knowledge of environmental impact assessment, strategic environmental assessment, social impact assessment, due diligence audits, environmental policy and legislation
Experience of working on African and international projects / assignments is also sought-after
