My client is currently looking for a Technical Services Superintendent who is interested in an opportunity to be based out of Darwin, with the zinc-lead-silver mine site located in the Gulf of Carpentaria.
 
Main objective of the role:
Reporting to the Mining Manager the Technical Services Superintendent will be responsible for the design, planning and scheduling of the Mining operations.
 
Qualifications:
To be a successful for this role you will have tertiary qualifications in mining engineering, geology or other related qualifications.
 
You  MUST have open cut mining experience with at least seven (7) years experience.
 
You will provide leadership and support to team members along with a high level of communication and interpersonal skills.
 
The Role:
Key responsibilities of this role will be
  • Leadership and development of the Technical Services team
  • Continuous improvement to technical services processes
  • Maximise productivity and performance efficiency of the Mining operation
  • Provision on long, medium and short term scheduling direction to the operation
  • Ownership of the Mine Reserve process
  • Compliance with all required reporting targets
  • Commit to safe work practices through application of the job safety analysis processes and adherence to safe work procedures.
 
The site:
Fly in, Fly out based from Darwin on a 4/3 working roster.
Located in the Gulf of Carpentaria, this is a great living environment without the humidity experienced in Darwin with well established facilities on site.
There is a big emphasis on health, safety and environment as well as Indigenous affairs.
