Principal Consultant - Manchester
Our client requires an experienced environmental due diligence and corporate compliance specialist to play a key role in delivering our transactions and compliance service offering to industrial corporate clients. Working with the transactions and compliance team, the position will involve managing and undertaking EHS & technical due diligence projects and corporate compliance assessments, as well as managing and providing leadership to other team members on a project basis. You will be offered Project Management Certification training and will then assume the role of project manager as required, co-ordinating with internal teams, other project disciplines and clients. It is expected that the successful candidate will take responsibility for appropriate commercial targets and client relationship development.
Key Skills
Lead and coordinate, or be a key team member in, detailed corporate compliance audits, often involving multiple audit days / team members and working in the presence of the corporate client.
Prepare high quality professional reports for senior client audiences.
Build professional relationships with clients / target representatives to gain trust and obtain required information, supporting the work of the wider transactions and compliance team.
Maintain professional knowledge of environmental, health and safety legislation / industry good practice and communicate these to the wider team.
Support and mentor junior team members, including peer review of relevant reports, to develop the expertise of the wider transactions and compliance team.
Take leadership in one or more key aspects of the audit process, utilising past project experience.
