Allen & York are sourcing an Environmental Project Coordinator position for the Abu Dhabi Global Environmental Data Initiative (AGEDI). The AGEDI program was initiated in 2002 as a commitment by the Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the improvement of environmental information management and access. AGEDI Phase III is a multifaceted program that includes over 30 projects to be conducted over a three year time frame that seeks to build better environmental management and protection.

The Environmental Project Coordinator (EPC) is responsible for ensuring projects are being implemented according to set work plans and highlights issues, opportunities and constraints between projects, scheduling, budgets, contracts and resources. The EPC coordinates progress reporting including project schedules and documentation of any identified risks, and works closely with the Program Manager, Project Managers and the client in reporting status.

Applicants for this post should be an environmental subject matter expert with experience in management of multi-faceted environmental data management and application environments and environmental information networking. You will have significant (anticipated 7+ years) experience in an environment related field including the crossover between conservation, environmental regulation, and strategic planning, with a strong preference for those who have managed significant government-led projects & programs.

Applicants with previous experience in the Middle East will be viewed favourably.

This is a permanent position, employed on a full time basis in Abu Dhabi
